The Halloween Festival is a month away and we need volunteers. This popular event draws folks from all over the county who value ritual, community and spirit and we are proud to offer this seasonal alternative to them!

If you’re new to the Festival here’s how it works: The HUUF grounds is set up in an Autumn wonderland where guests are guided to experience the magic of the season. There are about 13 different scenes where evocative stories and unique performances weave the guests into the Magic of The Unknown. A group of guests is led through this experience every 10 minutes and ends with a bonfire, cupcakes and cider. As you can imagine, it is fun, inspiring and thoughtful.

If you feel inspired to help we would love to have you. It takes about 100 volunteers to put on this fabulous event. It is a celebration you won’t want to miss.

Each Sunday after the service there will be an opportunity to sign up and learn more. You can also sign up online HERE.

This is a list of the type of help we need:

Crafters – at each scene a craft representing the performance will be handed out to the children attending. The crafts have already been created, they just need to be assembled.

Bakers – everyone coming through the festival will get a cupcake and cider. If you can help you’ll receive a box of mix and simply just need to bake it in your home oven

Actors – If you want to perform in a skit there is a place for you!

Guiding Lights – The guests are lead through the Autumn Wonderland by Guiding Lights. If you want to escort these folks we would love your help.

Set up and Clean up – Set up starts the day before and clean up finishes the night of the event.

Putting up flyers – From Ferndale to Trinidad we want to let people know this is happening!
