“It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept and celebrate those differences.”
~Audre Lorde

This workshop is designed to heighten our overall sensitivity to the diversity issues of class, race, ethnicity, and language that live inside of all of us.
Concepts we were all taught, we caught and we bought.

The work of Multikulti will help us to unpack and grow beyond our cultural learnings & generalizations.

Issues of family diversity are of critical importance as the demographics of families in this country and, indeed, the world, are changing.
How do we raise our children to confront and move past the prejudices & misinformation we were taught? How do we empower ourselves and the next generation to engage meaningfully & proactively inside the often turbulent waters of our differences?
How do we begin to untangle the web of inequities of our collective past, all the while dreaming and creating a map of a richer, more diverse, and just future for us all?

Join us for this roundtable experience to gain insights, tools & language to help seed the type of Culture we wish to become.

We’ll break briefly for lunch. Please bring a small dish to share.
Childcare will be provided.

This FREE event is offered as part of the ongoing work of Fellowship Engagement here at HUUF.
Open to all who come with an open heart & willing mind.
