Fiesta Night Mid-September families and friends gather at the Fellowship to celebrate the kick off of a new year of religious exploration.
Fall Gleaning The youth walk next door to Redwood Roots Farm to glean food for the local food bank.
Halloween Festival The whole community creates a magical experience for the broader community. Families are greeted by the King and Queen of Halloween and then invited to follow their guiding light to witness a dozen short skits unfold along an enchanted path. Youth receive hand made crafts after each skit and are then are invited to enjoy a home made cup cake and a cup of cider around the bonfire. The festival is created for young children to have a magical and welcoming Halloween experience.
Thanksgiving Dinner Gather with Fellowship friends for an abundant and delicious Thanksgiving potluck dinner.
Parent’s Night Out Our RE staff create a fun evening from 4:30-7:30, usually the first weekend of December, while parents can have the evening to do whatever they feel inspired to do.
Winter Holidays and Rituals We offer a Pagan Solstice service and a 5:00 Christmas Eve service. In December, the youth are invited to participate in a special inter-generational service. Check the December calendar for details.
Hearts Together Auction In February, we gather for a dinner and auction to sustain and celebrate the beautiful building, grounds and programs we collectively steward.
Pagan Celebrations Based on ancient Celtic rituals, we often offer opportunities to celebrate the seasons in community. Check the calendar for upcoming offerings. The Yule Solstice and Beltane Maypole are two favorites for youth.
Coming of Age Service Every two to three years, the teen group completes a coming of age curriculum that culminates in a youth created service in May. Teens share their personal credos that express their guiding beliefs as they currently understand them.
Youth Service in June One Sunday in June is dedicated to honoring the experience and creations of our youth. This may take the form of a flower communion, milestone ceremony, or teen led worship.
RE Retreat The RE committee leads a one day reflection and visioning retreat in June most years.
Mattole Family Retreat The first weekend in August families and friends gather in a beautiful setting along the banks of the Mattole River. Through shared music, art and time in nature, we nourish our spirits and weave our hearts together.
