In the Stone Soup story, the empty-handed traveler who comes to town, and convinces people to bring their offerings to the collective feast, is often seen as a trickster – duping people out of their hard-earned sustenance. But what if the story is one of invitation, not trickery? A story of collectivism and the power we contain as a whole? Come share your gifts – of service and song – as we gather together to celebrate what we can craft when we work as one.
Please, bring an easy potluck dish to share for our collective feast directly following the service.
We’ll circle up and talk about more ways to connect, and opportunities to join our Chalice Dinner (small group) program for the upcoming year.
