7-8th grade OWL Class 2019-2020: Debbie Harrison and Shawn Nichols will once again be offering an 7-8 grade OWL class during the 2019-20 school year.  The class will meet on Mondays after school from mid September through mid May with some size-able breaks. OWL at HUUF in 2018-19: In the fall, the 4th – 6th grade program for the first time to a group of 10 youth. We are delighted to offer the The K-1 class for the second time here to a group of 14 students from January-March.

OWL Facilitators

Danielle Stubblefield is trained in the K-1 & 4-6 levels of OWL. She is a community volunteer with two children who have participated in the program.

Olympia McCutchan is trained in the 7-9 & 10-12 levels of OWL. She is a licensed midwife and health educator.

Debbie Harrison is trained n the 7-9 & 10-12 levels of OWL. She has co-facilitated the middle school program at HUUF for the past four years. She is excited to offer the high school component for the first time. She is a retired nurse with 30+ years experience in health advocacy.

Shawn Nichols is trained in the 7-9 & 10-12 levels of OWL.  Shawn co-facilitated the middle school program for the past two years with Debbie and is equally excited to work with returning youth, who are now in high school.  He is an ordained UU minister, who worked most of his professional life as a Social Worker.

Therese FItzMaurice is trained in both K-1/4-6  & 7-9/10-12 components of OWL.  She is a credentialed teacher with 20 years of experience including preschool, high school, middle school and elementary.  She is currently our Director of Religous Education.
