For our annual Gathering of the Waters service, please bring a vessel of water from a source dear to you—whether it flows from a mountain spring or simply your kitchen sink—as we come together to symbolically unite the tributaries of our individual lives. We will pour these contributions into a larger basin, celebrating how our distinct journeys merge to feed the larger whole we are privileged to bask in, tend, and share. Drawing inspiration from poetry (like the one by Indigenous poet Lyla June, referenced above), movement and music, we will commune deeply with the energy and element of water. Together, we will affirm our connection to one another, and to the flowing Source of Life.
