Inherent Mirth and Dignity

We are delighted to welcome the internationally acclaimed Liz James to our pulpit.  She has the ability to sprinkle humor into the dealing of meaningful and sometimes difficult topics.  What do you do when the life you’ve imagined for yourself is stuck in committee?  Join us for the story of the Unitarian Universalist Hysterical Society… the practical joke that accidentally turned into a huge on-line UU community.  It’s a story of feeling lost, finding yourself and UUism-outside-the-box with guest presenter Liz James

Liz James is the founder of a 270,000 person non-line community called the Unitarian Universalist Hysterical Society (UUHS); half The Cracked Cup podcast; and is working on a book with Skinner House Press. She also runs Mirth and Dignity, an organization devoted to supporting diverse expressions of Unitarian Universalism that is filled with meaning and joy, and that sees change as adventure.

There will be a potluck immediately following the service.  Please bring your ready-to-serve potluck items to the kitchen prior to the service.  The oven will be used to keep things warm during the service – not for cooking.
