Many religions, both current and historic, have celebrated a mid-winter festival of some kind.  In this service we will explore what these various festivals have in common.  Rituals and foods inherent in these festivals will be a part of the service. We are all aware of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Yule.  What about Kwanzaa, Saturnalia, Inti Raymi, Dong Zhi, Shab-e Yalda, Shaalako, Soyal, and Toji?  The children will lead an element of this service.
