Join us on this Social Action Sunday as we reimagine this much-loved story and put our hands to work in service of our hearts’ values. Let us embody this month’s call to Generosity where we can give it. In partnership with Arcata House, we will use a small portion of our time to prepare meals for those experiencing homelessness in our region.
We’ll also send them off with a burbling and delicious pot of “stone soup” made from the ingredients that we bring forth.
Bring an offering of chopped vegetables – from your own garden, farmshare, or your neighborhood produce section! – to contribute to this sacred and communal feast.
Come feel the sacred embedded within the seemingly mundane tasks of packing lunches, sharing stories and songs, sitting down to break bread together, and embodying our values through this communal act of serving others. Let service be our prayer.
