Our Whole Lives (OWL) offers older adults a respectful, affirming setting for reflection and conversation about sexuality and aging.
OWL Sexuality Education for Older Adults is a comprehensive and progressive curriculum, addressing sexuality with candor, sensitivity, and respect for older adults’ wisdom and life experience. It is engaging, thought-provoking, and deeply meaningful. In 14 engaging two-hour workshops, this curriculum balances knowledge-building with exploration of attitudes, values, and feelings about one’s own and others’ sexuality. Workshops include alternate activities and multimedia resources to accommodate participants’ needs and interests.

A Community Singing series for 2S/LGBTQ+ folx
Led by Maggie McKnight, This is a five-week drop-in series that meets every Monday in March from 5:30-7pm, our calendar can be found here.
Free (donations welcome but not required).
Community singing provides a vital sense of belonging, wellbeing, and release, in a world that many of us find increasingly hard to face. This series if geared specifically toward queer, trans, and gender-nonconforming people, who may face additional stress as we navigate the world.
We gather for the joy and nourishment of creating music with our collective voices, focusing on participating rather than performing. Science continues to prove what community singers know from experience: that singing together with others makes you feel better. Come to one session or all five and join us as we raise our voices together in a circle of belonging.
No musical experience necessary; all songs are taught orally, so reading music is not required.

Community Song Circles
Usually first and third Fridays at 4 pm at HUUF, with occasional schedule changes. To stay up-to-date about changes and get on the song circle-specific email list, email office@huuf.org.
“Group singing is a powerful catalyst for social change and community building. We sing for the joy of creating something beautiful together in the moment.” Maggie McKnight
Community song circles welcome all voices, bringing together people who love to sing, regardless of experience level. Song circles don’t focus on performing for an audience; instead, learn songs from a variety of traditions by call-and-response, and sing for the joy of creating something beautiful together in the moment. Group singing is a powerful way of connecting with each other, and with something deep within ourselves—and the music we make as we support each other through song call forth the singing voice that is every human’s birthright. Earth Blessings Circle: Singing with the Living Earth
03/10/2026 at 5:00 pm - 6:15 pmThis gathering is a gentle, communal ritual rooted primarily in sacred song, supported by meditation and simple ceremony. Together, we will sing with the Earth—offering intentional vibration as a form of prayer, communication, and shared healing. Through voice and breath, we enter relationship with the land beneath our feet and the Earth within our own bodies.
Everything in the natural world communicates through vibration—through wind, water, stone, root, and rhythm. In this circle, we remember the human voice as a living instrument and song as one of the oldest ways of listening and responding to the land. When we sing together with intention, our voices carry vibration into the soil, into our bones, and into the wider web of life.
Human life and Earth life are inseparable. What we carry—grief, sorrow, and harm—has long been received and held by the Earth. In this gathering, we honor both our responsibility to tend what has been wounded and the Earth’s extraordinary capacity to transform pain into nourishment, beauty, and life.
The circle will be held outdoors on the HUUF grounds, weather permitting, so please dress warmly. If it is raining, we will move into the sanctuary.
This is the first of what is hoped to become a regular offering. All are welcome. No singing experience is needed. The gathering is free, with donations welcome to benefit Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
Come as you are—your voice is enough.
